Our weekends for the most part are composed of watching movies at home, eating out, reading books, rest and walking Little Bear. I've gone through a time recently of feeling quite sorry for myself after I experienced a loss, which I won't share here at this time. In the last few days, my ten year old Dell computer went down and stayed down ~ I think of all the nonretrievable pictures and documents stored in there (ugh). Now, I'm sharing a computer with my husband until I find a suitable and affordable replacement.
Saturday night after watching a movie and then taking it back to the store; I tarried awhile and looked at the nonfiction books lined up in the $2.99 rack. I was happy to see that there were some interesting books ~ memoirs (my favorite!) and also a historic write-up of New York City (I have a curiousity for that place though I've never been there).
Sunday night I fixed a meal of Cajun rice and beans for my husband. It turned out quite hot and spicy. I ended up having about 1/8 cup. We talked about renting another movie but then, I remembered the Frida Kahlo movie that my friend, Angela had told me about (and I had ended up buying on Amazon). It was kind of a artsy movie and I was surprised that my husband wanted to see it. To my further surprise, he quite enjoyed it and wanted to read more of Frida Kahlo on the internet; which only goes to prove that one can't predict their husband's decisions even after 20 years of marriage.
