How to Remain Healthy and a Few Radical Ideas

Don't use plastic for drinking out of nor cooking in the microwave with.  Plastic and its involvement with the storage of food and the cooking of food  is bad news.  I did a Chemistry term paper on cooking food in plastic and saw the nasty list of chemicals that are absorbed into the food that is cooked in a microwave.   These chemicals were also floating around in the water people drink when they buy Dasani, etc.  I buy it too.  It's wonderfully efficient and the plastic doesn't break when it's dropped but it leaks a chemical call Bha into the food or water and that damages the heart.

Exercise, get the blood moving - get on a stationary bike and go for at least 25 minutes 4-5 days a week.

I'm reading a fascinating book.  I haven't followed this author's writings in the past.  I've mostly ignored her writings.  But this particular book caught my attention when I was shopping with my mother in Costco while I was in Dallas.  I am a voracious reader of all things nonfiction.  The book is "Knockout.. interviews with doctors who are curing cancer and how to prevent getting it in the first place" by Suzanne Somers.  This book's words echo many of those that have come from my readings of Andrew Weil, M.D.  Andrew Weil lives outside of Tucson and I believe he is a teacher at University of Arizona.

The doctors that write in Ms. Somers books talk about an idea that is a novel albeit shocking one.  The concept of strengthening the body by an influx of vitamins and minerals as well as other methodoligies.  These modalities are chosen to bring the level of the body health upward and not so much as 'cure' any cancer but live with it as the immune system strengthens and the strength of the cancer wanes.  It makes alot of sense to me.  Sense I have read over time ... other famous authors who have spoken of unique approaches to the 'healing of disease', this book's words reiterate what I have read before in other people's ideas..

Have you ever wondered why the barbaric use of chemotherapy continues?  Why cancer has not been cured after all these years?  In many respects, it is the large amount of income generated by the drug companies that keeps the system in place as it is.  Have you noticed that the system stays the same?  There are many good doctors who know that chemo doesn't work but yet for fear of licensure and the medical establishment, don't share their observations with the media.

Another thing that I know works for people as they age are links of friendship, going to the senior centers (not having any false pride about not needing anyone), meeting other people, hearing what their lives are like, sharing what you have been through.  This mutual support helps keep people healthy. You don't isolate, you associate yourself with others.  It makes for a joyful life.
