Getting Up-To-Date

Greg and I took a really nice vacation over my semester's Spring  Break.  We first headed out through Ruidoso and went to Socorro.  I had read some things on City Data that some people were retiring there.  It really didn't appeal to us in the major ways that we think about; but we're glad to have had the experience.  We went from Socorro out to the Very Large Array of telescopes that look out to the sky and see the stars and other universes.  It was interesting.  We then headed down to Silver City.  We were impressed with Silver City.  It was a pretty place.  Greg liked it alot.  There was an air of being very liberal.  I loved their downtown area with all the old buildings.  Cool coffee shop downtown - for coffee and the performing arts.  After two days in Silver City, we then went to Las Cruces and took our neice for lunch.  After lunch we went to Ruidoso and stayed in a lovely cabin in Ruidoso.  Enjoyed that experience.  Started us to thinking about retiring in Ruidoso.  We talk retirement alot these days --- how long it will take until we'll be at that stage.  I'll be ready for nursing school at the end of this year and will apply for it in October 2010.  I will also apply for Social Security benefits to have them by January 2011.  It will take one year to have an LPN - to complete by 2011.  I'd prefer to get the RN by the end of 2012.  

This semester has been really busy.  It's been like juggling.  I'll have two big tests in one week and have a week ahead of time to prepare.  Homework assignments as well.  I just saw the summer semester catalog; so I'll be registering for a class this summer pronto before they fill up.  I have been really busy.  The effort starts to get tiring about this time every semester but I pump it up and keep the effort going.  It's worth alot.
