4th of July Memories

My most predominant memories of the 4th of July are those when I was a kid in Shawnee, Oklahoma. I remember mom & dad cooking out and making ice cream by the old fashioned ice cream maker where one of the kids had to sit on top of the ice cream maker and Dad would turn the handle. Mom made fantastic ice cream. We would have gone out to the Elks to swim during the day and then at night as a family, we would have sat on the greens and watched the fireworks show. It was alot of fun.
