Thinking about Friends

At an art gallery today, I bought a pin that reminded me of my friend Angela.  She and I had some jokes about the artist's wife Frida Kahlo and her wild eyebrows.  I bought a Frida Kahlo pin to put on one of my jean jackets.  It had some peyote stitching around it.  Kind of cool.  I got an email from a friend from Clovis who is big time into jewelry designing and making.  A day ago I got a long nice email from my friend Arlene.  It was great to hear from her and get updated in her life.

I might want to get back into jewelry making and  it would be neat to take some jewelry-making instruction about some techniques that I'm not so "up" on.  I saw a friendly acquaintance today and she told me that she was taking zumba which reminds me that I need to check the Zumba schedule.

I was thinking about how the possibility of not only inherent abilities being inherited but personality traits being inherited also.  In my family of origin, I look more like my mother and have many of the same characteristics that she has.  Her scholarly strengths lie more in English as does mine.  My sister resembles my father more and my father was very taciturn as is my sister at times.
