Creating Good and Healthy Food

I love to create something good and something beautiful. I have been into wok cooking over the last six months. I buy all manner of tasty vegetables including bok choy, napa cabbage, carrots, celery, garlic, etc. I added two beef bullion cubes first and chopped up all of my vegetables to put in the hot bullion. I like lots of varied vegetables. This was my first try at an oriental soup. I added a few dashes of garlic salt. The soup turned out delicious. My husband raved about it; and it was quite good. I'm wondering now --- was it blind luck or skill? I have been intrigued by oriental cooking and thinking of recreating japanese soups and meals I've had that I enjoyed at restaurants particularly in Anchorage..
